Terrorists kill 2, kidnap 18 in Kaduna

Terrorists have killed two persons and abducted 18 others in an attack on Ungwan Dantata in the Gefe community, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was gathered that the terrorists invaded the community at about 1 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024.

The victims killed were identified as Ezra Badama and Nagode Ibro.

The abducted victims were also identified as Nehemiah Sukuni, Rebecca Nehemiah, Sadam Gane, Alice Sadam, Jashu’a Sukuni, Rhoda Isaac, Isaac Dako, Patience Godwin, A’ishatu Ezra, and Damaris Nathan.

Others included Justina Afis, Gabriela Nathan, Daniela Nehemiah, Jackson Sadam, Amame Ezra, Benedict Monday, Enoch Yohanna, and Igwe Saleh.

A resident of the community, Sujada Ayuba, on Tuesday, May 7, said no contact has been made yet with the terrorists on the negotiation of ransom.

Ayuba disclosed that the deceased were buried in the community on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Police Command has yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
