Three men die of thirst in Niger desert

Tragedy struck in the desert between Agadez and Dirkou in northern Niger, where three men were found dead from dehydration.

The grim discovery was made on Monday at about 4:00 p.m., approximately 23 kilometers from the Achigour well, by a passing traveler.

According to the witness, the bodies appeared to have been there for two to three days.

One of the deceased carried an identity card confirming his Nigerien nationality, while the other two had no identification.
