TikToker Jarvis opens up about mother’s illness, fear of social media backlash

Popular Nigerian TikToker Amadou Elizabeth, widely known as Jarvis, has revealed her growing concern over her mother’s deteriorating health and the potential scrutiny from social media users.

In an emotional video shared on Instagram by hushbobby_media on Wednesday, Jarvis expressed fear that critics might record her ailing mother and use the footage against her online.

“So my mom is actually sick. What I’m saying is that online is crazy.

“Tomorrow they might video her in her condition and try to use it against me.

“That’s the one thing I’ve been scared of, that nobody should find out that my mom is not well and they should not come and speak against me on social media,” she said in the clip.

Jarvis also addressed potential criticism regarding her care for her mother, stressing that her mother’s condition is beyond what money can fix.

“Social media will always say, ‘Oh, why didn’t you take care of her? You have all the money, you have everything.’ But the thing is that at this point, money can’t solve it. It’s just God, fate, belief,” she explained.

Paying tribute to her mother, Jarvis highlighted the sacrifices she made in raising the family alone without support from their father, who is from Senegal.

“I love my mom and she tried.

“She tried, like she really tried.

“She fought, she defended us without any father’s support,” she said.

Jarvis also opened up about her ongoing efforts to reconnect with her estranged father, who used to call her Aminata during her early childhood.

“From the beginning of my birth, he used to call me Aminata and I just giggled. You know, I was just a little child.

“But it got to a point when the whole communication line stopped.

“Till today, I haven’t heard from him. I’m the one searching. I’ve gone to Senegal. I’m still trying my best,” she shared.

Jarvis had previously confirmed ending her relationship with fellow influencer and livestreamer Hamzat Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, following his car crash during a livestream.
