President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, have paid glowing tribute to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, as he marks his 84th birthday on March 2, 2026.
In a State House press statement issued on Sunday, the President described Adeboye as “one of our nation’s greatest gifts” and a “spiritual fortress” who continually intercedes for Nigeria and its people.
Tinubu praised the cleric’s humility and depth of wisdom, noting that his impact extends far beyond the pulpit. According to the President, Adeboye’s contributions to national development span philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.
“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon the life of Pastor Adeboye, fondly called Daddy G.O., as he marks his 84th birthday,” the statement read.
The President and First Lady congratulated the revered cleric and joined his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, members of the RCCG, and the wider Christian community in thanking God for what they described as an exceptional life of service and global impact.
They commended Adeboye’s patriotic zeal and unwavering prayers for the nation, acknowledging his leadership over the past five decades, which they said has shaped and transformed lives across generations within and outside Nigeria.
As he celebrates his birthday, the President and First Lady prayed for continued good health, strength, and divine grace for the cleric as he carries on his ministry.
