‘Your claims lack merit’: Presidency slams Afenifere for criticising Tinubu’s administration
The meeting marks the first official engagement between the president and the suspended governor since the controversial declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State on March 18.
Tinubu, who hinged the declaration on the prolonged political crisis in Rivers State, suspended Fubara, his deputy, and all members of the state House of Assembly for six months.
The president, therefore, appointed former Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Ibok Ete Ibas (rtd) as sole administrator to oversee the state’s affairs.
