Tinubu reinstates NTA DG, Executive Director of news

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the reinstatement of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Mr. Ayo Adewuyi as Executive Director of News.

Dembos, first appointed by Tinubu in October 2023, is to return to complete his three-year tenure as DG.

Similarly, Adewuyi, who assumed office in 2024, will serve out his tenure, which runs until 2027.

The President’s directive cancels recent appointments of a new NTA director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued Tuesday by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
