President Bola Tinubu recorded a sweeping victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held at Ward L2, Ikoyi II, Lagos, with his sole challenger failing to secure any vote.
The exercise took place at Ireti Primary School, Mekunwen Street, in Eti-Osa Local Government Area, where the president arrived around 11:34 a.m. to a crowd of party leaders and supporters.
Accreditation began at 10:45 a.m. and ended at 11:15 a.m., after which voting proceeded in an orderly manner.
The ward electoral officer, Martha Adukwu, said two aspirants contested the primary — Tinubu and Chief Stanley Osifo — noting that the process was peaceful and transparent.
Tinubu, who joined party members in the queue during the exercise, commended the turnout and called for unity within the party.
He also expressed satisfaction with reports from across the country, indicating that the primaries were proceeding smoothly in other chapters.
The result further consolidates Tinubu’s position as the APC’s leading contender ahead of the party’s internal processes for the 2027 presidential election.
