Tinubu to Kano delegates: Don’t make mistake of voting other aspirants

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu, has urged APC delegates in Kano State not to make a mistake of voting any aspirant other than him to lead the country.

Tinubu said the delegates would not regret giving him the mandate to flag the party’s presidential ticket because he is smart and intelligent.

Tinubu made the call on Thursday night at Kano State Government House while speaking to the delegates from the commercial nerve centre of the northern region of Nigeria.

The former Lagos State Governor further said he has the courage to tackle Nigeria’s multiple challenges.

His visit came days after two presidential aspirants of the ruling APC, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amechi, visited the state to also woo the delegates.

He said: “I hereby appeal to you to support my presidential ambition by voting for me to clinch the party’s ticket at the forthcoming primary election.

“Today is the day I have come to ask for your support to be president of Nigeria. You can put me there with your votes.

“I believe in myself, I’m smart, intelligent, and courageous, don’t make mistake, choose wisely, choose me, I beg you and you will never regret supporting me.”

The presidential aspirant promised to tackle insecurity, revamp the economy, and provide good roads to enable farmers to bring their produce to market.

Tinubu also vowed to develop and make the agricultural sector more lucrative, noting that the country needs the formation of a commodity exchange mechanism.

Kano, which has the highest number of delegates in APC with 465, is seen as the stronghold of Tinubu with even another presidential aspirant, Rotimi Amaechi on Wednesday telling Ganduje that people in APC already knew where his loyalty was.

Tinubu also visited Kano elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, behind closed doors before proceeding to the home of Alhaji Yusuf Ali, a former Chairman of the defunct All Peoples Party (APP).
