Tinubu’s 2027 campaign appoints Farouk Aliyu, Betta Edu to new roles

The PBAT/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council has appointed Dr Farouk Adamu Aliyu as Director of its newly created Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management, as it reshuffles the leadership of its youth and women mobilisation teams.

The appointments were announced in a statement signed by Hope Uzodimma, Secretary of the Campaign Council, following the inauguration of the council.

Under the new arrangement, former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello, will serve as Co-Director of the Stage Organisation and Management Directorate.

The council also appointed Ayo Olawande as Director of Youth Mobilisation, with Dayo Israel as Deputy Director.

For the Women Mobilisation Directorate, Mary Aille Idele was named Director, while former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, will serve as Deputy Director. Imaan Suleman was appointed Secretary.

The council said the changes were aimed at strengthening its organisational structure, improving coordination and enhancing operational efficiency ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

It added that the new appointments were part of efforts to build an inclusive and results-driven campaign structure capable of mobilising Nigerians, particularly young people and women, in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The appointees are expected to work with other directorates and campaign structures to implement the council’s mobilisation strategies as preparations for the election intensify.
