The Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Office of the Vice President, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has resigned from his position.

It was gathered that Baba-Ahmed, a former spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), resigned two weeks ago.

He was said to have resigned on personal grounds.

However, it was unclear whether the presidency had accepted his resignation.
