Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has officially ended her professional relationship with her longtime manager, Kemi “Mekka” Akunyili, and has appointed Vanessa Amadi as her new manager.

In a series of Instagram stories, the singer warned the public, especially event promoters, not to conduct any business with Mekka in her name, emphasizing that any bookings made through him would be considered invalid and non-refundable.

“I do not work with Mekka anymore.

“Even if the booking gets to me through him, I will refuse it,” she wrote.

“Please for bookings, contact [email protected]

“Any bookings through any other channel will be void and you will lose your money.”

Tiwa expressed frustration that despite repeated notices, some individuals and promoters still approach Mekka for business, resulting in financial confusion.

She revealed that a recent payment for an upcoming performance was mistakenly sent to Mekka’s personal account, prompting her to speak out publicly.

While the singer noted her usual reluctance to address issues on social media, she said this public statement was necessary to prevent further financial losses and miscommunication.

This development follows recent drama involving Tiwa’s ex-husband, Tee Billz, who criticized Vanessa Amadi last month for allegedly overbooking the singer, claiming it limits her time with their son, Jamal.
