Premier League side Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Brazilian winger Savio from Manchester City in an £85 million deal.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Sávio from Manchester City ✍️,” Tottenham said in a social media post on Tuesday.
Spurs will pay an initial £75 million for the 22-year-old, with a further £10 million available in add-ons.
It is understood that £5 million of the potential bonuses are effectively guaranteed, meaning City could receive at least £80 million from the deal.
Tottenham finally signed long-term target Savio, formerly known as Savinho at City, after failing to sign the Brazil international last summer. He will wear the No 17 shirt at the club.

Savio’s arrival takes Tottenham’s spending this summer past the £300 million barrier following the arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke for a combined fee of £237 million. Spurs also added Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers.
Meanwhile, Savio’s sale is a club record for Manchester City, surpassing Julian Alvarez’s £82 million move to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024.
Sávio Moreira de Oliveira changed his shirt name to ‘Savinho’ when he joined City in 2024 because it was the name printed on his jersey during his first call-up to the Brazil national team.
