Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested four people suspected of working as informants for the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during clearance operations in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The arrests reportedly took place at about 6:30 p.m. on December 30 in the Garaha and Kakara areas of Hong.
According to reports, soldiers worked alongside local hunters after receiving credible information about the suspects.
Those arrested were identified as Chollu Alhaji, Malam Bako Abubakar, Naftali Gabriel, and Madaiba Joseph.
Security sources allege that the suspects had provided information that helped facilitate a terrorist attack in Dubang village on December 29, during which residents lost their lives.
The suspects are currently being held by the Theatre Prosecution Section and are undergoing investigation.
