Troops under Operation UDO KA have apprehended a suspected spy attempting to infiltrate a military defensive position in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The arrest was made around 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday at Isabang settlement, following intelligence that the suspect was conducting reconnaissance on troop locations.

Items recovered from the suspect include a locally made pistol, a cutlass, a torchlight, and two mobile phones.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to acting as a spy for a criminal group, admitting he was sent to gather intelligence within the community.
