Troops of the Nigerian Army’s Operation FANSAN YANMA successfully repelled an attempted attack by suspected bandits on Tsabren Sarki Village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State late Tuesday night.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the incident occurred at about 11:00 p.m. on May 13, when a large group of bandits invaded the village, allegedly in search of food supplies.
A swift response by a joint military team led to a brief exchange of gunfire, during which the attackers were forced to retreat into nearby bushes.
There were no reported casualties among the soldiers or villagers during the operation.
To prevent further attacks, the military has intensified joint patrols in the area, ensuring continued vigilance and protection for local residents.
