Troops kill 4 bandits in Kaduna

The troops of Operation Forest Sanity, Nigerian Army, have killed no fewer than four bandits during clearance operations in identified bandits’ hideouts around Tsohon Gayan in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this via a statement issued on Sunday.

The commissioner stated that two of the neutralised bandits were identified as Dogo Mallam and Bello Mallam.

“The troops made contact and pursued the fleeing bandits, two bandits were neutralised during the engagement while credible human intelligence sources revealed that two others died from gunshot wounds.

“Credible sources in the general area reported that two of the four neutralised bandits have been identified as Dogo Mallam and Bello Mallam,” Aruwan stated.

He noted that the troops recovered one AK47 rifle, one magazine with 22 rounds of ammunition, and a motorcycle from the gunmen.

The commissioner said Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, hailed the troops for their resilience and courage.

He assured that the clearance operations will continue in the general area and other locations.
