The Defence Headquarters says the troops of Operation Hadarin Daji have eliminated a notorious bandit kingpin, identified as Bada, at Yar Tashar village in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Musa Danmadami, made this known via a statement issued on Monday.

Danmadami said the bandit kingpin was killed by the troops while responding to an attack on farmers harvesting their produce.

He stated that Bada, on October 13, attacked Yar Tashar village market and killed some farmers.
