Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected female collaborator of Boko Haram/ISWAP at a security checkpoint in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

Security sources said the suspect, identified as Kellu Abba, 50, was intercepted while allegedly transporting supplies to her son, Modu Mustapha, who is believed to be a member of the insurgent group operating in the Dumba area.

The woman, a Kanuri resident of the Lawanti area in Baga town, was apprehended during routine checks by military personnel.

Items reportedly recovered from her include four packs of ready-to-use supplementary food, two hijabs, and a wristwatch.

She is currently in the custody of the 196 Amphibious Battalion, where she is undergoing further investigation.

Sources noted that while the security situation in the region remains relatively calm, it is still unpredictable, with troops maintaining operational readiness and morale.
