The troops of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD), North West, have rescued 15 kidnapped victims and neutralised scores of bandits in Zamfara State.
A statement issued on Tuesday by the Information Officer, Operation Hadarin, Daji Lt. Suleiman Omale, said the victims were rescued after the troops responded to a distress call of an abduction attempt by bandits in Tsohuwar Tasha in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Omale said the troops, on Monday, March 4, engaged the bandits in a heavy gunfight, forcing them to withdraw in disarray through a Riverline where they pursued the fleeing criminals and neutralised one of the assailants along their withdrawal route while others fled with gunshot wounds.
