Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 8 Division, operating from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Sabon Birnin, Sabon Birnin Local Government Area of Sokoto State, have pursued a group of terrorists responsible for abducting four farmers in Fadama village.
According to security sources, the incident occurred at about 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, when troops received a distress call about terrorist activity in the community.
Upon arriving at the village, they confirmed that armed men had invaded the area and kidnapped four local farmers.
The soldiers immediately trailed the attackers along their escape route, but the terrorists had already fled the scene.
In the aftermath of the incident, the troops urged residents to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to facilitate swift security response.
They also intensified patrols to restrict terrorist operations in the locality.
Additionally, the military warned community members against any form of collaboration with criminal groups, stressing that such complicity endangers lives and undermines ongoing security efforts.
