United States President Donald Trump
United States President Donald Trump has declared that the U.S. would expand its strikes on Iran to target power plants and bridges next week unless Tehran agrees to negotiate.
Trump said: “Next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants. Next week comes the bridges.
“We’re going to knock out all their power plants. We’re going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate.”
The president stated that Iran’s military has been “degraded to a very low level” after repeated U.S. strikes, adding that the attacks will continue “until I say it’s enough.”
Oil prices rise as Trump reimposes Iran blockade
Trump’s remarks came amid the latest escalation of the conflict between the United States and Iran on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
On Tuesday, U.S. forces launched another round of strikes against Iranian targets for a fourth day in a row and reimposed the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.
“U.S. forces resumed the naval blockade against vessels transiting to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas,” the U.S. Central Command said in a statement.
