Two high-profile Boko Haram collaborators arrested in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have apprehended two suspected high-profile collaborators linked to Boko Haram in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.

Security sources disclosed that the suspects, identified as Dattiwa Ali and Jidda Abdullahi, were arrested at about 5:00 p.m. at Miringa Market following credible intelligence.

According to the sources, troops of the 231 Tank Battalion, working in collaboration with local hunters, carried out the operation after receiving reports that the suspects were involved in coordinating a sleeper cell and stockpiling arms and ammunition for terrorist groups.

“Acting on the intelligence, troops moved swiftly to the location and successfully arrested the suspects,” the source said.

Items recovered from the suspects include two mobile phones, two wristwatches, and a RAM module.

The suspects, along with the recovered items, are currently in military custody as investigations continue.
