Tyla removes Lagos from APOP World Tour schedule amid boycott calls

South African singer Tyla has removed Lagos from the itinerary of her APOP World Tour, with the previously announced December 22, 2026 concert no longer listed among the tour dates.

The development comes amid growing calls by some Nigerians to boycott the planned performance following renewed xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa.

The campaign gained momentum in recent days, with critics urging the Grammy-winning singer to cancel the Lagos concert in solidarity with Nigerians affected by the attacks.

Neither Tyla nor her management has issued an official statement explaining the removal of the Lagos date from the tour schedule.

It also remains unclear whether the decision is connected to the boycott campaign or was influenced by other logistical or scheduling considerations.
