U.S. lady calls out Davido for pregnancy, abortion

A United States businesswoman, Anita Brown, has accused Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, of getting her pregnant and insisting on an abortion.

Anita said Davido asked her to terminate the pregnancy, adding that the singer said he didn’t want it to make him appear bad.

She made the disclosure in a live video on Instagram on Tuesday, June 27.

Anita stated that she first met the singer in 2017 while in Dubai, saying they dated on and off until the pandemic when she was in a relationship.

She added that she never knew that the singer is married, saying nothing about him or his social media platforms implied this.

Anita said: “What really kills me is this married man narrative you all are dragging, cut it out. I did not know he was married, on God. Go to his page, does he look like a married man? I’m confused. Rest in peace to the child, people knew about the baby but nobody knew he got married.

“I’m in America, nobody here knew sorry. It’s not on the blogs, it’s not a big thing, if a man ain’t telling me, then I don’t know and I wasn’t checking for it because I’m not looking to get married, I’m not looking for that right now so that wasn’t something that I was in search for, I wasn’t digging up anything like that, so no I didn’t know.

“I actually found out after the fact and then I found out after the fact that I’m actually pregnant so y’all should cut it out, maybe I’m a fornicator but never an adulterer, calm down.”

The businesswoman further released screenshots of chats between her and Davido which affirmed the singer had unprotected sex with Anita.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner also asked Anita to handle the pregnancy like other ladies in the past have to help lighten his problems.

Davido tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Chioma Rowland, in January 2023.

The marriage came barely three months after the death of their son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in the singer’s pool in his residence in Banana Island, Lagos State.

Davido, who recently disclosed that his late son has a younger brother called Dawson, has however yet to react to the alleged pregnancy of Anita as of press time.
