Governor Uba Sani
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has appointed Mr. Ben Solomon Dalhatu Kure as the new Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), following the elevation of the former MD, Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki, to Commissioner for Information.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, who noted that Kure is expected to consolidate on the strides made under Maiyaki, particularly in positioning KSMC as a key platform for public communication and information management.
Describing the appointee as a seasoned communication expert and political strategist, the statement highlighted Kure’s extensive experience in public service, politics, and banking.
Kure previously served as Chairman of Jaba Local Government (2016–2017), Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (2018–2019), and Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Governor (2019–2021).
Prior to his entry into public office, he held leadership positions in the banking sector, including Branch Manager at Oceanic/Ecobank (2010–2012), and team lead roles at Zenith Bank and Broad Bank between 2003 and 2006.
An alumnus of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kure holds a Master’s degree in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, and a Bachelor’s in Geography and Planning.
He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and the Institute of Management Consultants.
Governor Sani, in congratulating the new MD, wished him success in his new role and prayed for God’s guidance and protection as he takes on the responsibility.
