In a bid to entrench transparency and fiscal discipline in Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani has appointed Alhaji Sani Rabiu Bako as the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
The appointment, which was announced on Wednesday, is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to promote prudent public spending and ensure long-term macroeconomic stability.
According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, Governor Sani charged the new chairman to reposition the Commission to effectively deliver on its core mandate of strengthening financial accountability in government operations.
Alhaji Sani Rabiu Bako brings to the position a wealth of experience in quantity surveying, project and facility management, and public-private partnerships (PPP).
Prior to his appointment, he served as Principal Partner at Rie Services & Project Ltd. and was the Executive Director at Treasures Suites and Conferences between 2018 and 2022.
Between 2005 and 2008, he worked as Senior Resident Quantity Surveyor at Environment Development Consultants.
He has also been active in community development and student leadership, serving as Chairman of the Kaduna Doka Development Association since 2021 and previously as President of the National Association of Quantity Surveying Students.
Bako holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management, a Higher National Diploma (HND), and an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Quantity Surveying. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Construction Management.
Governor Sani congratulated Bako on the appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to deliver, while wishing him divine guidance and success in his new role.
