Uba Sani rallies Kaduna political appointees for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has urged political appointees and other public office holders from the state to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the All Progressives Congress campaign flag-off scheduled for October 24.

Sani gave the directive at a high-level strategic meeting with federal and state political stakeholders, where he called for stronger coordination and grassroots mobilisation across the state’s 23 local government areas.

The governor said Tinubu’s administration had demonstrated a strong commitment to Kaduna through investments in infrastructure, education and economic development, which he argued deserved collective political support.

“Such extraordinary commitment deserves more than expressions of gratitude; it demands collective responsibility to consolidate these gains and sustain the momentum of development,” he said.

Sani urged federal appointees and other stakeholders to intensify grassroots engagement and work towards securing victory for the president in the 2027 elections.

“We must translate our appreciation into decisive political action. I charge every federal appointee and stakeholder to close ranks, deepen grassroots engagement and work towards delivering a resounding landslide victory for President Tinubu in 2027,” the governor said.

He cited projects including the Kaduna Light Rail, Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Highway, Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road and Kaduna–Kano Rail Project, alongside investments in federal tertiary institutions, as evidence of the administration’s commitment to the state.

According to him, sustained cooperation between federal appointees and the Kaduna State Government is essential to converting the investments into economic opportunities, improved security and better living conditions for residents.

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal; Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko; as well as chairmen and members of federal boards, heads of parastatals, federal commissioners and other stakeholders.

Participants resolved to work with APC leaders to strengthen and coordinate the party’s political structures across the 23 local government areas ahead of the elections.

They also welcomed Tinubu’s decision to hold the presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna, describing it as recognition of the state’s political significance.

The stakeholders pledged to coordinate activities before, during and after the elections, with emphasis on peaceful participation, effective engagement and post-election reconciliation.

They further reaffirmed their support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Sani’s development priorities, pledging to use their positions to promote government policies and ensure that democratic dividends reach communities across Kaduna State.
