Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani says his administration has been working to enhance transparency in land allocation, enforce development control regulations, and promote orderly urban expansion in the state.

Sani added that the Kaduna State Government is investing in infrastructure and urban renewal initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens.

The governor made this known while receiving the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners at the Government to House in Kaduna on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Sani, who was represented by his deputy, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, said the Kaduna State Government has been making efforts to strengthen urban planning and land administration systems through ongoing reforms.

He said: “However, we recognise that government cannot do this alone. We need the expertise, guidance, and partnership of professional bodies such as yours.

“Your role in ensuring adherence to standards, building capacity, and promoting innovation in planning practice is vital to achieving sustainable development outcomes.”

Sani said his administration has continued to show commitment to both rural and urban development, adding: “An ambitious development plan with massive infrastructural development has taken centre stage.

“We hope that members of this Institute will continue to offer expert advisory and technical services on how land use impact on social and economic development.”
