UNILAG begins online registration for 2025 Post-UTME screening

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the commencement of the institution’s online registration for the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.

UNILAG announced this in a statement on Friday, July 25, 2025.

The Post-UTME screening, which applies to all undergraduate programmes, will commence from Monday, July 28, to Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Candidates who selected UNILAG as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME and scored a minimum of 200 are eligible to apply. Additional requirements include five credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Only candidates who upload their O-level results on or before September 12, 2025, will be considered for admission.

The university stated that candidates who will not have attained the age of 16 by September 30, 2025, are not eligible to apply.

The institution added that applicants who fail to participate in the online aptitude test will not be admitted.

UNILAG directed candidates to use their personal and active emails to register for the Post-UTME screening, saying this will be the channel for communication.

Former students previously withdrawn due to academic failure or prolonged absence may reapply, but only for programmes different from their earlier enrolment.

UNILAG, however, said students previously expelled from the institution remain ineligible for re-admission.

Applicants are required to pay an administrative and application fee totalling N5,500 – N2,000 for the application and N3,500 for administration.

Payment is to be made via any commercial bank or online, following which candidates can access and complete the screening form on the university’s website.

The university disclosed that mock examinations will hold from Monday, August 25, to Wednesday, August 27, 2025, while the official Post-UTME test will hold from Monday, September 1, to Friday, September 5, 2025.

UNILAG further reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on drug abuse, saying: “The University shall withdraw the admission of admitted students who test positive for drug use whenever the University conducts the test, either before or after registration.”
