WhatsApp, the popular instant communication app owned by Meta, is currently down with an unknown issue, with millions of users unable to send and receive messages.
The outage, The Star reports, is affecting both personal chats as well as group chats.
Downdetector, which tracks outages across major internet platforms around the world, confirmed that WhatsApp is not working for millions of users in the early hours of Tuesday.
WhatsApp is yet to share an official statement on the issue as of the time of filing this report.
