A car was gutted by fire on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident via a video shared on X on Tuesday.
LASTMA disclosed that the car gutted fire near the University of Lagos (UNILAG) waterfront.
It stated: “Men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are on scene working to put out the fire. Our officers are also on-site managing traffic flow.
One dead, 26 rescued in Lagos building collapse
“Please drive with caution when approaching the area.”
The agency, in another post, said the fire had been put out “while we await LASTMA Rescue Team for complete evacuation of the carcass on Third Mainland Bridge by UNILAG Waterfront inward Island.”
