The Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Juliana Osadahun, has been engaged in a brawl with a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olumide Awolumate, over the distribution of palliatives at Arigidi Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of the state.
The APC chieftain, in a viral video on Sunday, September 17, 2023, hit the commissioner with a plastic chair, causing her head injury.
Awolumate is the Ward Chairman of the APC in Arigidi Akoko, while Osadahun is the chairman of the committee for the palliative distribution in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It was gathered that the fight occurred when the APC chieftain and Osadahun engaged in an altercation on how rice, which was part of the palliatives, would be shared.

Speaking to newsmen on Sunday, an eyewitness disclosed that the fight generated political tension in Arigidi Akoko and its environs.
It was further learned that the commissioner reported the matter at a police station in the area while the party ward chairman had been arrested and transferred to the Akure headquarters of the Ondo State Police Command.
Meanwhile, the Command has yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
