Ward Chair: CBN Gov joined APC since Feb 2021

Despite occupying apolitical position, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, became a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) since February 2021.

Chairman of Ward 6 in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Nduka Erikpume, confirmed that Emefiele is a full-fledged member of APC.

Erikpume stated that the CBN Governor registered as member of the APC in February 2021.

“Yes, he has registered since February 2021. He is our member,” Erikpume told The Punch.

Emefiele: I’ll decide on 2023 presidency in few days

Three groups – the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, Friends of Emefiele and Emefiele Support Group – obtained the N100 million Presidential forms of the APC for Emefiele last week.

But the CBN Governor on Saturday said he would personally pay for his forms if he decides to run for the Presidency.
