‘We’re not recruiting’: Immigration warns job seekers against adverts

The Nigeria Immigration Service has warned Nigerians against fraudulent recruitment advertisements, saying no recruitment exercise is currently ongoing.

The NIS spokesman, Akinsola Akinlabi, made this known in a statement on Friday, February 14, 2025.

Akinlabi said all recruitment exercises were conducted in a transparent, free, and merit-based manner.

Akinlabi stated that Immigration’s vacancies were advertised through the NIS website, official government channels, and recognised national newspapers.

“The Service remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity in all its operations. Consequently, the CG urges the general public to remain vigilant and refrain from patronizing fraudulent recruitment schemes.
