Speaking at his 58th birthday celebration in Abuja on Friday, Wike said his political choices are guided by integrity and fairness.

He recalled openly backing Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, emphasizing that his decision aimed to promote equity and the shift of power to the South.

Highlighting his leadership in Rivers State, Wike noted that under his watch, the PDP won governorship, National Assembly, and local elections, while the APC secured the presidential vote.

The event drew lawmakers, local government chairmen, and political associates from across the spectrum, who praised Wike as a consistent, compassionate, and impactful leader.

Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, pledged continued loyalty, saying, “Wherever our leader goes, we will follow him, whoever he is supporting, we will also support.”

Wike thanked his political family for their support and vowed to continue collaborating for the benefit of Rivers State and Nigeria, describing criticism as a source of motivation rather than a setback.
