A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has called an emergency meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) in Abuja.
The meeting, convened by the Abdullrahman Mohammed-led bloc, is scheduled to hold at the PDP national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
According to a notice signed by the PDP National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, the BoT will meet at 11 a.m., while the NEC session is expected to commence at 2 p.m.
The notice added that attendance is mandatory as “crucial matters” will be discussed.

The gathering will be the 103rd emergency NEC meeting of the PDP.
The development comes just days after the faction led by the immediate past PDP national chairman, Umar Damagum, held a national convention in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
PDP leaders at the convention announced the expulsion of Wike, Anyanwu, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, and several other party chieftains, including Umar Bature, Kamaldeen Ajibade, Mao Ohabunwa, George Turner, Dan Orbih, Uwachukwu, Abdulrahman, Austin Nwachukwu and Abraham Amah.
