Wike reinstates FCTA education secretary, IRS acting chairman

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reinstated the Mandate Secretary for Education, Dr Danlami Hayyo, and the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Mr Michael Ango.

The reinstatement was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

According to the statement, Wike directed both officials to resume their duties with immediate effect.

While approving their reinstatement, the Minister cautioned that acts of indiscipline would not be tolerated among officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), stressing his commitment to accountability and discipline in the administration.

The development marks the return of Dr Hayyo to the Education Secretariat and Mr Ango to the leadership of the FCT-IRS as the administration continues its efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery in the nation’s capital.
