Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, says the administration will dedicate 20 days to highlight the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government in the education sector within the territory.
Wike disclosed this on Thursday during the inauguration of newly completed engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja.
According to him, the initiative aims to demonstrate to Nigerians—particularly critics on social media—the tangible progress recorded under President Tinubu’s leadership.
“We will take 20 days to show Nigerians, to show the social media presidents, what we have done in the education sector.
“We are not going to rush; we will shock them with our accomplishments,” the minister said.
He emphasized that the Tinubu administration’s focus in the FCT goes beyond roads and infrastructure to include significant investment in education.
“President Tinubu’s administration is not only concentrating on infrastructure—roads and bridges—but also on transforming the education sector,” Wike added.
The minister further revealed that after the 20-day exercise of commissioning and inaugurating projects, there would be a brief pause before attention shifts fully to education.
“I have informed the Chief of Staff that we will conclude our current round of flag-offs and commissioning.
“Twenty days is not two days; we’ll take a short break and then return to focus on education,” he said.
