Woman arrested for stealing boyfriend’s car in Kano

The Kano State Police Command says its operatives have arrested a young woman, Ilham Kabir Karaye, for allegedly stealing a car belonging to her boyfriend.

The command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Kiyawa, made this known via a statement issued on Tuesday.

Kiyawa disclosed that the woman deceived her boyfriend shortly after they stepped out to buy Shawarma on her demand in the Kofar Famfo area of Kano.

According to the police spokesperson, the command received the complaint from the victim on July 12 and thereafter delved into investigation that led to the arrest of the suspects.

He added that Karaye argued that her boyfriend was owing her N150,000 which he refused to repay which prompted her to take his car.
