Some aggrieved women have razed the house of Michal Adanchi, the district head of Bokkos town in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was gathered that the women, during a protest, burnt the house of the monarch following the arrest of some members of the community over alleged involvement in the recent killings in the area.
It was learnt that the women set the house ablaze at about 12:30 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024.
It would be recalled that about 150 residents of the state were recently killed by gunmen.

Confirming the incident on Friday, the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, Alfred Alabo, said an investigation had commenced into the matter.
Alabo added that calm had been restored in the area.
“We have restored calmness to the area and we are doing a lot. Because of strategy purposes, I cannot tell you. We are doing a lot and we have restored peace to the area. We are working on the arrest and I will give you feedback very soon,” he told Punch.
He added that the command was working to arrest the perpetrators.
