The Yobe State Government has provided agricultural inputs to 1,000 families displaced by Boko Haram insurgency in a bid to support their recovery and improve livelihoods.
The beneficiaries, drawn from the Mallam Dunari community, received various farming supplies including seedlings, fertilizers, water pumps, insecticides, and other essential inputs.
Governor Mai Mala Buni, who supervised the distribution, said the initiative is part of the state’s broader effort to empower vulnerable communities through the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

He emphasized that the program aims to boost agricultural productivity and enhance food security in the region, while also promoting resilience among displaced households.
Buni also reiterated his administration’s commitment to rebuilding affected communities, announcing plans to construct 150 houses to help resettle residents of Mallam Dunari.
“This intervention is a step toward restoring hope and stability for our displaced citizens,” the governor said during the event.
