President Bola Tinubu has directed Nigeria’s service chiefs and intelligence agencies to step up nationwide security operations as part of renewed efforts to tackle insecurity.
Tinubu met with the security heads on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in a closed-door session that lasted over an hour.
Speaking after the meeting, the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, described the engagement as productive, noting that President Tinubu issued fresh strategic directives aimed at strengthening ongoing security initiatives.
Oluyede assured Nigerians that security agencies are enhancing coordination and operational efficiency to guarantee a peaceful and safe yuletide season across the country.
