Two persons have been injured following a clash between some residents and operatives of Amotekun Corps at Sabo community in Mokola area of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
It was gathered that the clash occurred when operatives of the Amotekun Corps attempted to execute an arrest in the area, but were resisted by some residents of the community on Friday, August 14, 2026.
The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident via a statement issued on Saturday.
Ayanlade said two persons were injured during clash.

The police spokesperson, however, said the reason for the attempted arrest of some residents by Amotekun operatives had not been ascertained.
Ayanlade added that the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Abimbola Olugbenga, had ordered a thorough investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
