The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its governorship and state House of Assembly primaries earlier slated for Friday, May 20 and Sunday, May 22, 2022, respectively.
The governorship primaries will now hold on Thursday, May 26, while the state House of Assembly primary election has been fixed for Friday, May 27, 2022.
The postponement of the primaries was disclosed via a statement issued and made available to The Star on Wednesday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
Morka stated the approved schedule as follows:
Primary election
*Governorship and House of Representatives – Thursday, May 26, 2022
*Senate and House of Assembly – Friday, May 27, 2022.
Election appeals
* Governorship and House of Representatives – Friday, May 27, 2022.
*Senate and House of Assembly – Saturday, May 28, 2022.
Special convention for presidential primaries – Sunday, May 29 – Monday, May 30, 2022.
