The Osun State Government has declared Friday, February 24 as a public holiday to allow civil servants in the state to prepare for the 2023 general election.
This was contained in a circular issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, on Wednesday.
Igbalaye said public servants in Osun State are expected to utilise the opportunity to travel to their homes where they registered to vote.

“This is time for all citizens to exercise their voting rights.

“His Excellency again appeals to all residents to be law abiding as they peacefully exercise their voting rights on Saturday and subsequent elections,” he added.
The Presidential and National Assembly elections have been slated for Saturday, February 25, while the Governorship and House of Assembly elections will hold on March 11, 2023.
