2023: Osinbajo, Tinubu, S’West govs, ministers in closed-door meeting

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-West are currently meeting in Lagos, strategizing on how the region will be able to present a formidable front in its quest to produce the presidential candidate of the ruling party in 2023.

Major presidential aspirants from the zone are attending the meeting holding at Lagos House, Marina.

The Star reliably gathered that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu are present at the meeting.

Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Kayode Fayemi, Dapo Abiodun, Rotimi Akeredolu and Gboyega Oyetola are also in attendance.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister of Trade and Industry, Otunba Niyi Adebayo are part of the meeting.

One of the presidential aspirants and former Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun is part of the meeting.

National Secretary of APC, Otunba Iyiola Omisore is also part of the meeting.

The meeting was convened by Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba and Chief Pius Akinyelure.

The meeting started at 6:50p.m.

A source said that beyond the issue of 2023 presidential election, the conflict among the stakeholders is also on the table.
