Former Lagos State Governor and presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu, on Friday, picked the All Progressives Congress’ N100m Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms.

It was gathered that some associates of Tinubu picked up the nomination forms for him as the APC National Leader is currently in Saudi Arabia for Hajj.

Some of the close associates, who picked the presidential forms for the former governor at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Friday, include House of Representatives member from Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke; member representing Agege Federal Constituency, Babatunde Adejare; and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.

Tinubu had in January announced his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election.

The ruling APC has fixed May 30 and 31 for its presidential primary election.

Some of the aspirants, who have declared their intentions to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige; former Governors Rochas Okorocha (Imo), and Sen. Orji Kalu (Abia).

Others are Governors Yahaya Bello (Kogi) and David Umahi (Ebonyi).

Others rumoured to be nursing presidential ambition in APC but have yet to declare their intentions include the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi; and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
