2027: Adeola’s wife mobilises Ogun women for Tinubu, Yayi, APC candidates

Wife of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, Temitope Adeola, has charged APC women in Ogun State to mobilise two million votes for President Bola Tinubu, her husband and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adeola gave the charge on Tuesday at the Ogun State Political Women Stakeholders Forum, which brought together APC women leaders and political stakeholders to discuss grassroots mobilisation and women’s participation in the electoral process.

She urged the women to translate their numerical strength into electoral support through sustained engagement with eligible voters across their communities.

According to her, achieving the two-million-vote target would require collective commitment, grassroots outreach and efforts to encourage informed and peaceful participation in the elections.

“Every woman has the capacity to influence her community and contribute to the direction of our society. Imagine the impact if every woman here commits to engaging ten other eligible voters, informing them, encouraging them to participate and helping them make responsible decisions,” she said.

Adeola said the objective was not merely to increase women’s participation in politics but to build an informed and active electorate.

Also speaking, the wife of Ogun State Governor, Bamidele Abiodun, urged APC women to mobilise at least 10 voters each in support of Tinubu, Adeola and other party candidates.

She said women’s organisational strength and connection with communities placed them in a strategic position to influence electoral outcomes.

“Women must move beyond being passive supporters to becoming active drivers of political success. Our strength is not just in our numbers but in our ability to organise, mobilise and influence our communities,” Abiodun said.

She urged the women to remain united and committed to securing victory for the APC in 2027.

The Ogun State Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, also called on the women to mobilise support for all APC candidates in the state.

She praised the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun for empowering women and expressed confidence that Senator Adeola would further promote women’s inclusion if elected governor.

The forum was attended by the APC deputy governorship candidate in Ogun State, Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun; former deputy governors Salmot Badru and Yetunde Onanuga; former Senator Iyabo Anisulowo; former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Titi Oseni; and former governor’s wife, Derinsola Osoba, among other party leaders.
