2027: Faleke picks presidential forms for Tinubu

The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The forms were presented to Faleke on Tuesday in Abuja by the National Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Suleiman Argungu, who officially declared the process open.

Faleke, who is also the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, paid N100 million for the forms, marking the formal commencement of Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed January 16, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly polls are scheduled for February 6, 2027.

The electoral body also announced that party primaries, including the resolution of disputes, will hold between April 23 and May 30, 2026.

According to INEC, campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on August 19, 2026, while those for governorship and state assembly elections are set to commence on September 9, 2026.
