204 Boko Haram terrorists, including their family members have surrendered to the troops of the Nigerian Army in Borno State.

The army made the disclosure via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday night.

It stated that the terrorists surrendered to the troops in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State on Wednesday.

“The ongoing offensive onslaught against terrorism in the North East recorded another feat today, 15 June 2022 as 204 Boko Haram fighters including their family members surrendered to troops in Bama LGA of Borno State.

“Profiling of the surrendered terrorists is ongoing,” the Nigerian Army tweeted.

This is coming barely some hours after the Nigerian Army announced that troops of Operation Desert Sanity and the Civilian Joint Task Forces (CJTF) killed terrorists of the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) around Gurzum in Borno State.
